Archiving Policy

Digital Archiving

Journal of Management, Economics, and Accounting Research (JoMEAR) is committed to the permanent availability and preservation of scholarly research. The journal ensures long-term accessibility of published content by converting and upgrading digital file formats in accordance with the latest technology standards. JoMEAR works in partnership with relevant organizations while also maintaining its own digital archiving system.

Local Archive

JoMEAR maintains a local digital archiving facility to store complete and accurate digital versions of all published papers. The current preservation standard is in PDF format, ensuring the long-term readability and accessibility of published articles.

Website Archiving

All electronic content of the journal, including website data, manuscripts, and published articles, is stored across three separate sources. One source is active and accessible to readers online, while two additional sources are maintained as backup copies. In the event of a failure in the primary server, one of the backup sources can be activated, and the website is expected to be accessible again within 24–36 hours.

Systems Backup

All JoMEAR publications are backed up regularly through weekly incremental backup processes. The journal operates in a cloud computing environment in which the applications, databases, and electronic documents are routinely secured and backed up to ensure data integrity and continuity of access.

Self-Archiving

JoMEAR supports the principle of self-archiving. The journal permits and encourages authors to make their research visible and accessible by depositing the final published version of their articles in personal websites, institutional repositories, or other appropriate archival platforms immediately after publication, provided that full bibliographic details of the original publication are clearly acknowledged.

Indexing and Abstracting

JoMEAR supports broad dissemination through abstracting and indexing services, which store essential bibliographic information related to published articles. In some cases, these services also archive electronic versions of the articles, thereby providing alternative access points for the scientific community.

All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref. Published articles are also indexed in Google Scholar and other relevant indexing databases, where applicable. All articles are permanently archived and made available in PDF format.

JoMEAR provides article metadata in compliance with Open Archives Initiative (OAI) protocols, enabling automated harvesting and inclusion in other digital archives and scholarly databases. The journal supports non-exclusive digital archiving of research articles in recognized international repositories to ensure the security, preservation, and permanent accessibility of scholarly work.

LOCKSS Participation

JoMEAR supports participation in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) initiative as part of its commitment to long-term digital preservation. Through this system, libraries are enabled to create and maintain their own archives of journal content with minimal technical effort using affordable and widely available hardware.
