Author Guidelines

Guidelines for preparing and submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Management, Economics, and Accounting Research (JoMEAR).

Before You Submit

Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the official JoMEAR template and ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal's scope, formatting requirements, citation style, ethical standards, and submission procedures.

Article Title and Author Information

  • The article title must accurately describe the research content.
  • The title should contain a maximum of 14 words.
  • Use appropriate capitalization according to the selected template.
  • Maximum of 5 authors per article.
  • Provide the complete author name without unnecessary abbreviations.
  • Provide faculty, study program, institution, city, and country.
  • Provide an email address for each author.
  • Clearly identify the corresponding author.

Abstract and Keywords

Bahasa Indonesia

The Indonesian template specifies an abstract length of 90–230 words.

English

The English template specifies an abstract length of 150–230 words.

The abstract should clearly describe the research problem, purpose, approach or solution, and main results. Avoid unusual abbreviations and define symbols where necessary.

Provide at least 5 keywords related to the research topic and separate the keywords using commas.

Figures, Tables, and Formulas

  • Number figures and tables sequentially throughout the manuscript.
  • Every figure and table must have an appropriate title or caption.
  • Use high-quality images for figures.
  • Figures should use the In Line with Text layout in Microsoft Word.
  • Table titles should be centered and tables should not use vertical lines, according to the template.
  • Formulas should be created using the Microsoft Word Formula Editor.
  • Formula numbering should follow the sequence in the manuscript.
  • All figures and tables must be discussed or referenced in the manuscript text.

Citation and References

JoMEAR uses the IEEE citation and reference style. Authors are required to use a reference management tool such as Mendeley, Mendeley Cite, or EndNote.

In-text citations should appear sequentially in square brackets, for example [1], [2], and [3].

The manuscript must contain a minimum of 15 references. At least 80% of references should come from journals published within the last 5 years and should include the article DOI where available, as specified in the official template.

All references listed in the manuscript must be cited in the article, and all citations must correspond to entries in the reference list.

Language and Formatting

  • Use Microsoft Word for manuscript preparation.
  • Use Times New Roman throughout the manuscript as specified by the template.
  • Use single spacing.
  • Do not add unnecessary spacing between paragraphs.
  • Foreign-language terms should be written in italics.
  • Do not alter the official page margins.
  • Remove all instructional, gray, placeholder, and template notes before submission.
  • Ensure that all author, affiliation, email, citation, figure, table, and reference information is complete.

Acknowledgement

If applicable, authors may include an acknowledgement section to recognize institutions, individuals, research partners, funding agencies, or other parties that contributed to the research.
