Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam (JURPAI) implements a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and integrity of all published articles. Manuscripts are evaluated by independent experts in the relevant field, while the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

  • All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts.
  • Reviewers are selected based on expertise and academic qualifications.
  • Publication decisions are made solely on scholarly merit.
  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision.
  • International Editorial Board members provide guidance when necessary.
  • The review process is conducted confidentially and objectively.
Peer Review Workflow
Step Description
1 Initial editorial screening and plagiarism check.
2 Assignment of qualified reviewers by the Editor-in-Chief.
3 Double-blind review conducted by at least two reviewers.
4 Reviewer recommendations are evaluated by the editorial team.
5 Decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
6 Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers.
7 Final editorial decision and publication preparation.
Review of Referred Manuscripts
For manuscripts transferred or referred from supporting journals, editors may make decisions based on existing reviewer reports and editorial evaluations. Additional peer review may be conducted when deemed necessary to ensure academic quality and suitability for publication.
Review of Direct Submissions
Manuscripts submitted directly to JURPAI are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject area. Editorial decisions are based on reviewer reports, scientific rigor, originality, methodological soundness, and contribution to the advancement of Islamic Education research.
Editorial Decision Criteria
  • Originality and novelty of the research.
  • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.

  • Clarity of presentation and organization.
